Ok, so I've explained to y'all already that I don't know how to "arrange" and make a good lookin' still life. Well, I tried my hand at it today (again!); I already know I made one cardinal mistake: I didn't use different textures. But, I tried my hand at it, and here's what I came up with for ..still life..

So....now that y'all know I'm not good at this, it should give you a greater appreciation for my nature shots! :)

My favorites are 4,6, and 8......are the bamboo plants for good luck.....if so, need some. Love the colbalt blue in the glass.

Still 4 and 5 look the best to me. I see some different textures there with the plant and the rocks along with the glass. Good job!

Kay I wonder if you are not taking the grouping a little too close. We don't get to see the whole of anything, just pieces of a lot of things. Just my opinion. Of them all, I like number 7.

Don't be too critical of yourself Kay. If the work does not suit you, keep trying, that's how we learn. I myself think it is a very good effort for a first try and don't think I could do any better.

7 & 8, for their simplicity and focus. (The first few seemed somehow 'crowded', not sure what to look at) - and hey, what's this, FRENCH VODKA!?! ... like the blue glass and bottle combo, too.

I'm late, sorry, All were enjoyable to view. I think you're too close up like Maggie said. I like your interpretation of putting modern object together, just use a wider view.
