After several really cold days (for us californians anyway) we had some beautiful warm weather. Seems like spring is creeping upon us.

The Bees were buzzing:

The kids were playing:

liked the contrast in flower, white peeling paint fence and flower, looks like the fence is a flower also.

I love shooting bumble bees, they are one of my favorite summertime subjects. Aerodynamically they aren't suppose to be able to fly but they don't know that. Nice shots.

  • Agree about the grape hyacinth, small variety type. Just what do you consider as a cold day.......glad you were able to enjoy day outside.

  • well we actually had frost, so that is considered a cold day. We rarely get a frost on the ground.

  • only vague signs of Spring here. A few daffodils and my daylillies have little green buds sticking out of the ground, but it's raining and cold so I've stayed in today. At any rate, At Play 1 is a great capture. I really feel the activity in the picture. And my fav is the flower with the peeling white paint fence. Good captures!
