Art Sunday at Our House

Sundays at our house are reserved for art, music, food and fun. Anyone can come and enjoy the day....Popup LinkPapa and I await guests while Mama cooks Popup Linkfood.

Papa pulls out all his Popup Linkart supplies and piles them on the table.

Uncle Beane arrives...he always makes me  Popup Linksmile.

Everyone does something Popup Linkcreative, like  Popup LinkDrawing.

We have dinner and Popup LinkDessert or  Popup Linkmocha's.

    Wow, where to start... Excellent in every area. Great family idea for Sunday, or any day really, most look on art as a required class you were forced to take in high school. Art supplies shows me papa is talented and also has an outhouse, one of my favorite subjects to draw and paint, but not use (I'm afraid of wasps). Does he have stuff on ArtClick? Smile was adorable and infectious... hard not to join in. Creative... it appears he was drawing me in that one. And loved the pie, blackberry pie and cobbler are my favorites. My stomach is growling now cause of it's only 6am here and I haven't had breakfast... wish I had pie! Man, throw in a good story to go along with the pics and you have what I thought this site was about when I signed on "A community photojournal". Maybe because I'm into the "art thing" myself, I hesitate to call my stuff art, but I thought this an excellent post. Wish I could throw down sketch pads with ya! Well done! Sorry, this is long-winded but that's my style.

    What a wonderful post. I love it when there is a story to go along with the photos. What are the chances that the baby has artistic genes? Beautiful way to get together. Wish I could have packed up the supplies and joined you.

    That's what life should be about: friends and art to feed your soul and food to make your tummy happy. How nice to be surrounded by the things you love. And to be talented enough to preserve those memories. Damn. I got mushy.

So next time you are in Northern California on a Sunday look us up! ~loweho~I really am glad you enjoyed...I made that my project for the day...documenting Art Sunday in photos...since I can't draw anything but flies....I am sort of the Beholden of artclick.org... ....my Hubby (smokefilled) does haunt artclick.org as well as Uncle Beane (Beanus)...and my best friend joins in too (Blizzard). Thanks for all the encouragement....I needed to get back into "seeing" things again...not that babies are bad...I was just feeling a little narrow sighted for a while...hence the purpose for Art Sunday...to bring new perspective....

    Hey, I'm flattered. I've appreciated those guys work over on artclick. Don't sell your self short you're very artistic also. I wish I had thought of the Art Sunday idea years ago. One of my sons, could really draw, in elementary school he could embarass me, but he never was interested in doing it... he was just good at it. Oh, and once at open house I see on the wall a great drawing of a can of Coors... I told you he could embarass me.
