Where ever you go, you're being watched.

You think you're Popup Linkanonymous, just another person in a crowd of thousands walking through an airport. You think to yourself, "Nobody's paying attention to me. I'm just blending in."

You're wrong.

No matter where you come Popup Linkfrom, no matter where you're going, you're being Popup Linkwatched, surveilled.

It doesn't matter if you're Popup Linkyoung or Popup Linknot so young or Popup Linkold.

It doesn't matter if you're Popup Linkwalking or Popup Linkin a wheelchair or Popup Linkriding in a cart or just Popup Linkstanding trying to look inconspicuous.

It doesn't matter if you're Popup Linkeating pizza or Popup LinkChinese; drinking Popup Linkwater or Popup Linksugar flavored acid; whether you're Popup Linkreading or Popup Linksleeping.

It doesn't matter how you look - whether you're Popup Linkskinny or Popup Linknot so skinny ; Popup Linkbald or have Popup Linklots of hair.

Even if you're Popup Linkpicking your teeth  or Popup Linkpicking your nose, you're being watched.

When you least expect it, you're being Popup Linkphotographed. "THEY" are  Popup Linklistening to your every conversation.

So, keep your Popup Linknose clean.

You might wonder, "Who would listen to my conversations? I'm not that interesting." You might feel like you're being stalked, scoped out, like you have no privacy, like there really is a Big Brother watching your every move. You're right.

Or, ...

Maybe you just happen to be in the same airport as a bored photographer who had to spend 9 hours in the airport waiting for a flight, because his workshop ended at 10:00am and the earliest flight he could catch was 7:45pm, a flight that ended up being delayed 45 minutes and he had nothing to do for all that time but had a digital camera handy and we all know that people with digital cameras - especially photographica members - take photos of everything because they know they're not wasting film and they can just delete the photos they don't like or they can take a bunch of photos in an airport, make up some silly story and post it online where other bored photographers can leave comments like "Great photo series" or "That was really stupid I don't know why I wasted my time looking at all those lame pictures of nothing," leaving the originally bored photographer either satisfied because someone else found some humor in the same thing he found humor in, or hurt because he realized it really was a series of photos about nothing.

Hey, I didn't give you permission to post that skinny pic of me!!! (I wish!) I enjoyed this post.....and, you're a brave soul....my luck, if I'd taken a pic of someone I don't know picking their nose or shoveling food in their mouth, they would've come over and smacked me! At least you kept yourself busy during your layover...... :)

I'm really glad it don't matter how I look, even if I'm bald;) funny post cm....

  • cmcnaught
I'm glad other people found the humor. I took a lot more pictures; some of them turned out to be fantastic shots (if I do say so myself) they just didn't fit in the story. I wasn't really very brave. I don't think anyone knew I was taking their picture. I was pretty sneaky. I would find a target, frame the shot, zoom in, then look away while I was taking it. Usually I had the camera nonchalantly balanced on my knee, or the back of a chair. I do have a few shots where people are looking right at the camera.

This was very amusing, plus I could relate with your story, as soon as I saw the NOSE pic...and knowing it was United..well then, I feel your pain. Last thurs my flight was cancelled in Chicago (united is notorious for doing this) so I too was in the airport for 9 hours until my husband drove 3 hours to come and get me... I wish I would have spent my time doing this...it would have been a great ending to my 337 vacation pictures... I was just kinda afraid on one of the clicks I opened that I would be looking at myself... Luckily you didnt find the redhead that was laying on the luggage carrosel (because of lack of seating, while waiting for a ride) That picture would have been a masterpiece...ha! It was great...I enjoyed your story!! jc

  • cmcnaught
You never know. Maybe I have that luggage-carrosel-redhead and just haven't posted it yet. Wouldn't that be a shocker. BTW, I love your "Castle Courtyard" pic.
