Falling Down

I finally gained limited permission to walk over this bit of property that is absolutely filled with Popup Linkbuildings and old Popup Linktrucks. My access is limited only because they are afraid that the buildings might Popup Linkcollapse, but I am permitted to return any time I like.

I found a lot of old equipment Popup Link1,  Popup Link2, and  Popup Link3. Some things are at least familiar Popup Linkantique ringer washer, Popup Linkoven 1? Popup Linkoven 2?, Popup Linkwheel and Popup Linkthese.

Many things were just Popup Linkleft,  Popup Linkunused.. Some were quite large and I don't really know why Popup Linkall of them were left there. This obviously fell because it was Popup Linkrusted Popup Linkthrough.

The buildings are in Popup Linkdifferent  Popup Linkstages of Popup Linkdisrepair. It's strange how people will Popup Linkdump anywhere. Some provide air as well as   Popup Linklight.

And Popup Linkthis was a combination of two views of one photo, and I even prepared a little rental blurb for you entertainment. "This rustic apartment is within walking distance of Historic Old Town Spring. Rich foliage blocks the sound of nearby roads. Unique windows offer the view of historic buildings and a lovely lullaby is often provided by passing trains. The apartment offers all natural plumbing. Installation of Lightning rod suggested in order to channel electricity for power. Stairway is out of order, a ladder may be provided upon request."

And for those of you who have been following me ;) I have a spot of good news. I finally got a job :)

I liked the gritty texture of the tires in Unused, and the Chair in Dump took my eye. Looks like this place is being reclaimed by Mother Nature!

Isn't it amazing what nature does and how it takes over an old place like this. I really love your post!

Very neat - I'm sure you'll be back for more. A treasure trove! My fav was also the shot of the chair - there was just something so surreal about it. Thanks!

Nice shots especially the chair. Rusted through reminded me of an old space capsule. Congrats on your new job. Anything to do with renting apartments? BTW, you forgot to list whether a security deposit is required. j/k.
