I drive a  Popup Linkred Dodge   Popup LinkRam.  Yesterday, I drove through a cemetery on the way to work.  (Only you guys Popup Linkunderstand  that.)

Found this.   Popup LinkThe Man
Saw this.        Popup LinkMonument  (What would make this shot better? I saw it in B&W but it doesn't look I thought it would.)

The drive also Popup Linkconfirmed my Popup Linkneed for a Popup Linkzoom lens of some kind.  Guess for now I'll go back with my Nikon film camera.  The 2 hawks looked fairly comfortable in the area.

  • some contrasting in your image editor might help the b/w shot, as well as a bit of horizon-leveling. I think! Love the second hawk shot--what a great capture! It sounds like you have the bug--wanting better lenses. Start saving those pennies now!

Great pics! You want a big lens, I want a macro, theres really never any end to it. There's always bigger & better...at least thats what they say! Considering you didn't have it for those shots may I say "wow" those are great!!!

Loved the hawk shots, peach! Especially the second. I also have a hard time getting a level horizon or straight vertical... but I didn't use to have this problem. I don't know if it's a byproduct of digital and not having to be as careful, or old age, or having photoshop to straighten them with making me lazy. It's just been a problem the last few years.
