Ahhh, what better place to find strangers to take pics of for the bi-weekly challenge. Some of these strangers were stranger than others. I took a lot of candids, but it was also a great chance for this extreme introvert to get over the fear (okay, terror...) of approaching someone I don't know and asking to take their picture. And you know what? They all say "sure" and posed for me. Imagine that. I'm already planning to go back to practice some more. If you've never been to a Renaissance Festival, they are loads of fun.

We never seem to have harem girls or pirates at our Renaissance Festival. . . coupla lusty wenches and some surly knights maybe. Nice shots.

I'm gonna have to go back without the wife so I can gawk at the women without having to pretend that I'm not. I think there were more guests dressed up than employees. And there were definitely some gorgeous women there.

  • Nice shots! Going to renfairs are lots of fun. I'm with Beholden on liking the one near Houston. Used to go to that one as often as I could. The camping is what made that one extra special...plus it's HUGE! Easy to take lots of pictures at a rennaisance festival. If anyone's interested in finding one nearby check out this site: http://www.renfest.com/

Great theme post, saxguy, and great shots. most of the "characters" at the festivals and historic villages, etc. get asked constantly for pics so they are used to it and are a good source of stranger pics.

  • Hey Sax ,Ren Faires Rule....I have been going to King Richard,s Faire in Carver Mass. for years. We go in full garb and oft get stuck between the Fair maidens with miles of cleavage, or oisting a bevy of Red Killians...so we can hassle the men mud wrestling in the pits. Good shots my lord...i.m sure some day our swords will clash...and then its eat...dance...and fancy pants....We will hafe to be rescued by virgin fair maidens...who must ply us with honey mead wine...lay us down on the king,s feathear beds...while we dream of liars and harps.and ladies of the finast talents in the realhm
