A Walk Around A Barn

Wandering around an old barn in the morning light I found some nice subjects to shoot.  Like this old Popup Linkweather vane,  Popup Linkthis rusty latch, Popup Linkthis curtain and  Popup Linkthis bolt.  Another weather vane  Popup LinkB&W and Popup Linkcolor.

    Hi Penny, I love these photographs. I love the detail shots of the latch and bolt. The last two pictures of the weather vain are great.

    Love them all, Penny, rusty latch and bolt are my faves but man love the texture in the curtain can almost feel it. Great shots!!!

    I could have stayed at that auction all day just to take shots. Everywhere I looked there was something to shoot. I hadn't been to this farm in years and years. Since I was in grade school I would say.

    Fabulous stuff Penny. Curtain is amazing and the B&W weather vane is so sharp it cut right through the computer!

    Very nice images penny.I also chose the curtain as my favorite. The chalky white of the barn. The dynamic movement of the burlap type cloth ragged curtain,with one thread hanging down to the wood below. Nice light and composition.

    I'm with so many others...the curtain shot is perfect. Not only the burlap texture but the peeling paint are so eye-catching.

    Like everyone here the curtain & the first weather vane stand out the most, but they are all fantastic. I would love to see the first in color to see what color the ball is.

    Even looking at the second weather vane, I would probably still get turned around..........the old curtain blowing in the wind is great......wonder what the barn was used for to have the curtain on window.

    BB if I am right it was an old dairy farm or a beef yrs ago. Then it was used more for farming the land. That is a little window that was between the silos. The one silo was built right into the barn. The other sat outside the barn. I am guessing it was to transfer stuff from the outside silo to inside the barn??? Maybe.
