Time can make you sad

This weekend I went for the first time to a small zoo not far from home where they had what we believe to be rescued animals.  What really grabbed my attention the most where the elephants. This guys seemed to have come from a circus and one of them actually had a couple of stars branded on his skin. I was struck with the differences between the two animals, while one was still trying to reach for branches to eat outside their enclosure and seemd very active. The oldest one looked sad and tired. The Popup Linklook in his eyes makes me wonder what he must've seen in his long life.

  • I think their eyes look sad is because they are not ever fully opened or what I would consider open...Like your close up of the 'eye'

Great shot! I Love elephants! Jump, I wish I'd excogitated the amount of beer I was going to drink last night at Roadhouse.

After I looked up excogitation to see what it means...I agree with the idea that in fact the Elephant was thinking things out! Maybe planning his escape! I too hope he has seen and experienced kindness. Thought-provoking post. Thank you.
