Happy Memorial Day!

This lighthouse was originally slated for Boston Harbor but somehow became a Popup Linkwar memorial ontop of Mt. Greylock, I don't think it possibly have ended up any further away from the ocean and still be in MA.  For those interested in useless information... Herman Melville was inspired by Mt. Greylock when he wrote Moby Dick... We also stopped at a memorial for Popup Linkmohawk indians Popup Linkexplanation Hail to the sunrise.  peace

    There is a lodge at the top of the MT that you can stay in, elevation is 3491, it is the highest Mt in MA and the view is spectacular! I can imagine that a sunrise and/or sunset there would be outstanding! The Indian dude though is in a valley, I think he is placed there as a welcoming to the western part of the Mohawk trail.

    Great place to Hike.The AT goes up one side and down the other, did it a few years ago on my birthday. Have to hit it on a clear day!
