I love relax. sometimes a pic reminds you of something or someone. sometimes it evokes an emotion or thought. sometimes, when it is most magical, it takes you to a place, much like a waking dream. relax was/is a stroll thru a waking dream. thanks

Relax is awesome, Penny, the color and softness with just enough sharpness to attract the eye... beautiful. It's my pick... but the others are good also. I thought I commented on this last night but I was sleepy and we'd been to Roadhouse so...duh

Now this is the difference between "flower shots" and "flower photography". Stuffy contrast, sure, but here's the thing: you didn't just center the flower and shoot from where you stood. You got on your hands and knees, you shot off-center, you caught the allium with drops of water on it, and you narrowed your depth of focus--sometimes all in one shot! This is, if I may be presumptuous, what Tom is talking about, the difference between random shots and shooting with care and something of a plan. Pen shoots with a Nikon D50 but you can accomplish these images with far inferior cameras. Give it a try!
