Well, we've been watching and waiting and finally our swans are buliding a Popup Linknew  Popup Linknest!
She is sitting on it as well as adding twigs and other things she can reach from her throne!
These are not swan but goose Popup Linkfeet.
Took this a few weeks back and just never posted Popup LinkIT.
Today when we were walking by the river that helps feed the pond I noticed some tracks and discovered that the freash water clams were making Popup Linkthem .
These are two shot of the same place Popup Linkearly spring  Popup Linkand now.
Things are looking up!
Have a good week and thanks for looking!!

  • Very nice shots Birdie. The early spring shot looks like an area near me that was filled with so many spring peepers that the sound was almost deafening.

Neat pics, birdie! Loved the snake, looks as if he may have eaten recently, looks a little swollen around the first bend there. Glad your swans are back on the nest. Do you think they had another go at it or is it just the maternal instinct? Great set of pics showing the difference in the marsh. Great job!

  • Great post/pictures. Snake was different, changing of the seasons enlightening, and lets hope the swans have better luck this time around.

I didn't pay attention and notice that the upload cut some of the snake off.... I do think the swans are trying again and there may be some little ones, keeping my fingers crossed
