Wonderful post, I never knew anyone personally who served in the Vietnam war but I know so many serving now, and my support is strong for all of them. I hope the anti-war people don't do this to our troops serving today. You guys who served needed to be honored then & now & still. Thank you!

This was an emotional post SG. I sometimes worry that we may have gotten ourselves into a Viet Nam situation again in Iraq. I only hope the American people learned from that war and will continue to support the troops, even if they don't agree with the people making the decisions. Thank you for your post.

Wow. The shot of the couple (who I imagine as parents) tracing the name of the soldier on the wall made me weep. Very powerful. Thank you for your pictures and for your service.

Thanks Kerry for helping us Never Forget. Always moving and emotional. I am fortunate enough that my friends and family members names are not on that wall, but most are still living with it today. It wasn't until 1999 that the war killed my step-dad. I am grateful for your service and the service of others.

And some Dylan, too! Great images, SG, had some friends that served in nam but none lost their lives, one wounded. Haven't seen the mobile display but Barb and I visited the wall when we were in DC a few years ago. A very moving memorial and your photos also. I guess it's good, in a way, that they could put their names on a wall. So many nameless, and numerous heroes in previous wars. I hope, as a country, we never lose the resolve to risk our lives for an ideal. What every military enlistee swears to.... I, _(insert name)_, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God. I've sworn to two oaths in my life, one to Barb and one to my country, I take them both very seriously. Thanks, SG, for your story, pictures, memories and your service to the country.

I support the troops. I also pray for them, and even more for the youth members of the troops, and for their families. Regardless of any politics.

This is such a moving post, Kerry; I remember seeing the wall once when it traveled through TN.....anyone who could walk away from something like this without crying doesn't have much of a heart...... Awesome shots, BTW!
