"The Popup LinkChilds Boardwalk restaurant, on the Coney Island boardwalk at West 21st built in 1923. This stucco and terracotta palace has marble columns and aPopup Link facade  decorated with polychrome, nautical theme Popup Linkmedallions." - "Coney Island Lost and Found" by Charles Denson   MikeH has some really good closeups of this building further down the page.

Strangers - I'm addicted to these.
At my lunch perch on the NE corner of 34th street and 7th Ave. She is Popup Link photographing her friends with the Empire State Building as a background.
Times Square, 44th and Broadway.  The man taking the Popup Link photo is selling them for $20 a piece.  He has a cart on the sidewalk with a printer connected to a car battery.

I guess there are people who make a business of this thing I call fun. Neat pictures, Pablo!

  • Sure are a lot of people on the sidewalks....in photograper made me smile because of the lady trying to bend low in order to not be in the picture, wonder why she just did not stop until the picture was taken. Really like the medallion picture.

I like the woman doing the "duck and run" in photographing! Why do they always duck and hurry up after they walk in front of you... it doesn't help. I also like the "leper syndrome" where they see you're taking a shot, stop, and then circle way around, usually behind the subject, like you have a disease. All great shots, Pablo!
