Great shot on to waste, Jo, how many shots did it take to catch it just right? Is the filter effect adjustable, like how much, or the angles? Great post, gorillas don't do pink either! ...correction sober gorillas.

  • The filter can be twisted so you can adjust the points of the star in the direction you would like them to go in. I like the four-point filter, but I'm going to have to get me a 16-point, too. I set my camera to action and just held down the shutter. I think 16 shots in all. 9 of them were of a wet deck board. All I had to do was say the word "Pink" and the cat snarled...I swear!

Great shots!! You made the tools like diamonds, but then if you asked my husband they are better than diamonds. Love the waste shot and Claude. Good job :o)

I have a filter like that and haven't used it yet. These are great and now I am motivated to give it a go.

  • Jay...I found the best time to play was around 4-5pm. Sun's got to be high enough and at the right angle to make it fun. Earlier and had to stand practically on top of the subject, later and I lost my sun. Was a fun hour, though.

Instead of standing on top of the subject, use use your pillar to get higher. That usually works well. Thanks for the time tips :-)

  • I inhereted a six-point star and never really gave it a go. I also have a rainbow filter. Noticing the rainbow effect, am guessing the two filters, stacked, would only increase the effect. I feel inspired to try something new! Inspiration means your photos are art in my book. Thanks.
