What a Popup Linkparty!   The Popup Linkbeautiful  Popup LinkBride is my niece.  Another niece complained that she is Popup Linkalways a bridesmaid.        Popup LinkBouquet

I would really like comments/suggestions especially on the pic of the bride.  Thought it would look best in b/w, but this is not what I envisioned.  Is it even worth messing with? The original is RAW format, so I have some flexibility.  Both versions have been cropped somewhat and the contrast & saturation were adjusted a little. Thanks!

(The best action/party pics will be shown later this week as soon as the relatives all leave town.)

I was thinking of some vignetting on the bride shot....and a little more contrast in the b/w......and, on the bridesmaid shot, a tighter crop on her, and cloning out the piano and picture....I like her being blurred just a bit, though; that looks good. But, what do I know???? Looking forward to seeing more......

I agree with both of those! I'd love to see the brides made in B&W and cropped in tighter (maybe doing something different altogether in the background). It's such a touching feeling to it.

  • I think the reason the soft focus works on bridesmaid is the because the flowers are in focus. So it's more artistic looking. I agree, do a little something with the background, it's a keeper. As for the bride, her face is a little dark for me. Otherwise beautiful.

  • agree about the bridesmaid....if you can remove the piano, picture, and chairs would make a much better picture......Like the b/w of the bride....now which one do you think she will like best.

I think the b/w of bride needs more contrast like Kay said. The bridesmaid shot I like but like everyone said the background is distracting to me it's mostly the picture frame. Before cloning everything out you might try selecting her with a little feathering and pasting her onto another background and maybe vignetting. Just suggestions.

Love the bouquet shot - I agree that the person standing behind the bride distracts from the shot.

  • Thanks everyone! I have limited ability and tools for some of the changes, but I'll give it a shot. I really do appreciate all the suggestions. BB-She liked the raw pic in color. I showed her Sunday before they left town. She laughed when I took the pic but it was the one she liked best.
