Just a few shots from my son's ball games this week and last week. We are the team in green uniforms.

Our Pitcher:
Popup Link He's safe even though he knocked the base off.

My Son 2nd Base:
Popup Link Diving for the ball.

Our Center Fielder:
Popup Link He slides, he's safe!

Our Center Fielder Again:
Popup Link Yes this ball actually hit him in the face, instant black eye but he stayed on base and scored a run.

Note: The thumbnail is my son running to first, fence got in my way.

I'm blowing that shot up for that kid and giving it to him. He doesn't believe me when I tell him I have that picture. Last year he knocked a front tooth out playing. His Mom said we should start a wall of fame for his injuries...LOL

T ball is so much fun to watch, but frustrating in a way. We'll have one starting high school ball next season and one starting t ball, I'm so used to them knowing what they are doing to have to go back down to tball is where the frustration will come in. But it'll be fun!

For some reason it takes a while for kids to learn how to turn away from an inside pitch. I've coached for several years and I preach to the kids to turn their faces away from a ball that is thrown at their heads when batting. The back of the helmet will hurt less. The up side is he probably doesn't turn his head when fielding. The last shot is for the wall of "pain."

Great shots, lilbit, in all our years of ball I've never seen a batter get hit in the face, the helmet a few times but never the face. Our coaches always taught the kids to turn away from the pitch. Great timing, I always got too involved in the close plays and forgot to take a picture. Once, I almost threw my camera on the ground, forgot what I had in my hand.

he had his face turned as far as he could, just enough to be able to see the pitch coming, the ball just nicked the edge of the helmet then got the eye. The eye was looking really nice as of last night...LOL Lots of shades of purple....;0)
