traces of train time

I have been wanting to get some shots of this train bridge when it is turned like this. I did not have much time when I shot these.

Very cool shots! I like the thumb the most because it looks strange open on both ends like that.

All very interesting pix! In fact, I have been wanting to to a bridge thing for quite a while; You may have re-kindled my fire! A couple of suggestions: try a different perspective. See what happens if you can get down lower so you are looking up Looking through the ties with the steel work framing; it might prove interesting. Also, try a day when you can get a bright morning or evening sun to empahsize the shadows. The bridge in and of itself is stark but I think it can maybe be driven home with the stark contrast of light and shadow. Even going to B&W might prove interesting. I have no idea how these suggestions would play out, but it would be something I would play with just to see what happens!
