In my last post for Traces, Mike H mentioned about b/w, sepia, I attempted to try it and here is what I came up with..I know it is not right so please give me input on how to do it better.

I love the color! I'm normally a color person though. Nice job on the board.

Like the board BB, I like the colored one in the middle, but agree that the BW one could be lightened a little. On the script at the bottom of the board you should have to instead of do. I do like it.

I like the color one best, although I'm sure that's not a surprise since I've always been on record as preferring color pictures.

As you might guess, I like the sepia best although I agree with the earlier comment that it could be toned down a little. I'd either go around and get the gas station in the shot (depending on how it looks) or change the depth of field to through the background out of focus.

Oooooh, I think Wilk hit on something there! Blurring the backgroud would work.....This is a great subject, sis......I think it warrants going back......

Thanks everyone, will try this again.....will try the dof...there is no gas station..the tank is on the in-laws property next to the old structure (in first post with tank) that looks like it might fall down at any time..if taken from other direction there would be a home in background. Jo, noticed after posting about the word 'do', but too late to change.

Agree with Wilk on how to improve the shot. But I also think the three versions work well in the one picture together. My only suggestion would be to try a dark (maybe black) background. Looking forward to seeing it again. Good work!

Hum, well heres my two cents, the color one is a winner except your green is off a bit so you need to change the levels a bit to tone them down, also agree tone down the sepia as other have said. and work on crisping up your B&W. Also, I think this is great as showing all three together.
