I have the good fortune of buying my house from family. Sally & Mal Sally is my great Aunt, she is my grandmother's sister. They were always so sweet and kind to me when I was little. I used to come over and visit and they would take me and their grandaughter to the ocean. They loved York Beach, ME. Anyway, I was sewing today but got distracted with an idea. These were all taken in one room, there are still a lot of old things here and there all over the house. I hope you like! :) fireplace(currently the home of the stereo) hinge paperlace latch piano piano2 rug (imagine the memories in there!) grandmother's sewing machine(was repaired in 1970, I've had it for a long time and opened it for the first time today... for another day) sisters(2 of Sally's sisters, there were 7 of them.) piano make tack
If not made obvious by the photo's....housecleaning's not my thing :)
Your photos are wonderful depictions of antiquity. The subjects, sepia, and execution are very good.I used to play in Ogunquit and get saltwater taffy at the Goldren Rod and watch the big chrome machine pull and stretch all that taffy. Great fun. How about a few house shots. Thanks...Bear
Wow Wow Wow....I so totally enjoyed your view of this room. I want to see more. Hinge was awesome and piano was extra cool to me because one of my post I did a shot very similar. And how did you get your sepia tones set like that...what program. I have psp and I just could not get them to turn out that good.
Latch and piano the best for me, great set, crzykty! Liked hinge also but thought a different crop or vertical format would be better. I know you didn't ask for suggestions but...
Suggestions are ALWAYS welcome!!! I was thinking the same about the hinge. I thought it just be wrong to make it horizontal (that is what you mean, right?) and I couldn't get a crop that I liked, but I liked the way it looked so I posted it anyway. This is my first try at sepia, I played around with lighting (I carried a desk lamp on my shoulder for some) and exposure settings. I had a tough time with the focusing on some. I only used ps to adjust the levels a little, this is mostly the way the camera took them... (cannon power shot pro1) Thank you for your wonderful comments!! (AHHHH, the goldenrod, brings back some sweet memories) peace
Oh, very cool series!! I happen to like hinge as it is... and of course latch and the piano shots are well done! Perfect post for sepia! I'm looking forward to some sewing machine shots too....
