A few from Lake Forest, IL

Just got back from a business trip to the Chicago area. While there, I visited the community of Lake Forest which is right on the shores of Lake Michigan. A very pretty place. These are my faves from the 50+ frames I shot.

All of these are quite nice. I'd like to see the Market Square without the person walking through it or the car parked in the corner. And on the plants for sale, you might consider cropping out the sun bleached area on the left.

I like the beach, probably would have liked it more if you had more water less grass. I also agree with what Yaloo said. Great set.

Nice shots, looks like a beautiful place. On the plants I would have pulled back just a bit and got the tops of the hanging baskets, they look a little chopped off to me. And on the waterfront, the horizon line cuts the photo in half to my eye. I think it would improve it to either put the horizon higher, and even more sidewalk, or lower and more water and sky (preferably.)

I agree with the horizon cutting your beach image in half, but good job on the path keeping the eye traveling. Also agree with pulling back and putting all of the hanging baskets in the photo. Good compostion on the market square shot.
