Some new stuff...

A nighttime B&W exposure of my bedroom Popup Link lamp! (yay)

My Popup Link mug. Kind of like my 2006 self-portrait of sorts. I don't normally post pictures of myself, but this one is okay.

B&W was a great choice for both shots. I like the simplicity of the lamp shot.

Nice job on both. The self portrait is good. I have never tried. Did you look into a mirror while shooting?

Thanks everyone for the comments. Candice, it was taken using the camera's 10-second delay. Basically decide how you want to pose, choose a location, focus, set, and rush around to sit down. It takes a few tries to get it right. :)

I've always stated my preference for color over b&w, but the lamp shot was perfect. I think it would have been ruined in color. I liked the composition of the self-portrait, but the eye in the light and the eye in the dark didn't work for me. You wouldn't think one eye would bother a pirate, would you?

I, too, like both shots. The lamp shot is very striking. 10 seconds to get into position and not have a goofy look on your face?...well done!

Thanks, everyone. I love coffee :) I'm glad you guys really liked the lamp shot. Night shots used to be one of my worst, but I think I'm starting to get the hang of it. As for my mug, I'm glad it didn't kill anyone :)
