Great shots Kay. I am planning a trip to the Dallas Zoo one of these weekends if the tempreture ever gets below nuclear meltdown stage. In fact, the zoo here has a great photo contest going on right now so I am looinig to submit some entries. Your shots give me some great ideas!
Love the waterfall..and the bengal is gorgeous..you know that you will need to give one of the sisters a picture of the bengal. Enjoyed all of them and sure did have to look close
Kay you took pics that I would love to take. I love the big cats. They are my favorite subject to draw. Concentrating on the eyes. I like them both but would have liked the tigers face not to be shadowed. Makes me want to draw a picture. What zoo is this?
Jack, it was so hot when I was there that a lot of the animals weren't out, and the ones that were were trying to find shade. The caged animals were trying their best to get inside their huts, which they were locked out of. I really felt sorry for them. The one of the gorillas......the baby was a cutie, but it wouldn't look at me much. I did manage to get a couple of shots, but there was something in front of the baby's forehead....too much ps'ing to fix them. The waterfall shot is actually a stitch job....had one horizontal and one vertical.......
I was about to say that....now I'm jealous. I've been wanting to go to the Ft. Worth zoo, but there's no way. I was 106 today. Your pictures are beautiful and inspiring. I'm going in the fall!
Nice set Kay. Our local zoo is trying to raise funds for a new bald eagle habitat. This weekend they're letting bald guys in for free. We'll see if 60% bald is good enough to get in!
