Buildings, streets and some misc.

I think I'm gonna make this my last installment of China shots; after all, I'll be there long enough to make y'all sick of seeing shots from there.  I've never been to NY, but I imagine the city scape in China to be somewhat like that.  The skyscrapers are phenominal....and there's SO MANY of them!  Here's a look at some of them, also some things you'll find on lots of streets.

While I was there, I did see a few comical things.  We had been to KFC one day and were waiting on the driver to come and pick us up when I saw this Popup Linkduck following a motorcycle down the street!  Bless it's heart, it was running so fast to keep up....the man didn't acknowledge Popup Linkit at all; he just kept on going.  At least other vehicles didn't hit it.

A lot of the streets there allow U turns to be made.....and a lot don't.  I guess knowing which is which is important.....we got pulled over one day for making an illegal U turn.  Not only did we get pulled over, but the car behind us did, too.  Over there, the cops get the driver out of the car.  So.....here I am, with nothing to do, waiting for them to get done when the idea hits me.....man, get your camera out!  These were taken from the back seat Popup Link1 Popup Link2.  Our fiasco didn't turn out too badly....the cop had forgotten his ticket book, so we got off scott free!  Whew!  We all got a good laugh out of that!

I hope y'all have enjoyed our "trip".  Like I said, there'll be plenty more.....

Kay, these are great shots. The skyline pictures are amazing. I've never seen so many buildings. The duck photos are funny. Poor duck. He probably wanted to hitch a ride before he became dinner. :-) Thanks for sharing these!!!

Wilk, I was using the kit lens (18-55mm) with a polarizer for these shots; didn't know when I'd need to go wider and didn't have a lot of time for interchanging.

So Kay you'll be able to feast on KFC and Juicy Fruit. Great shootin'! Liked them all but loved the duck and the landscaping bikes with shovels and tree pruners. Lotta bikes and scooters/mopeds but some things are universal like all the rubberneckers watching the cop in #2.

Yeah, I felt sorry for the poor little duck myself; wanted to pick it up and take it home...... On the bikes.....you have to pay to park on the side of the street like that. I don't know who you pay, but you have to pay a fee.....and, it would be hard to remember which street I parked on as well as which bike was mine.....sites like this are all over the place.
