    Well, being a former Marine that had 6 friends within the barracks in Beruit when it was blown up.....yes, they all died. I went through basic training and infantry training school with them, they had only been in the Corps for 11 months. Is political or religious posting really needed here Jump? There is enough madness out there, do we really need it here? If so, I could argue all night. I am very passionate on this subject.

    What would you have us do? Come with a plan for world peace, and disperse it over the internet. I agree with you this has to STOP, but I'm truly afraid of how it going it's stop.

    I'm always amazed that we humans profess to want peace above everything yet never seem to have it... I don't think it's in our nature as a species... maybe our replacements will do better. I welcome your post, Jump, as long as it's not you as a nude drum majorette.

    Reilly3079 having lived in Beirut I have had countless friends die needlessly because they were caught in the middle of someones elses conflict. I do not claim to have a plan for Peace.. DId not realize that making a comment on a war, that we as Americans are not involved in, would be taken as a Religous and political statement...Very interesting how society is beginning to think.. This post expresses nothing but disgust at the loss of innocent lives. I have chosen no side. Just feeling sad for those caught in the middle.

    When you have a group of individuals that are proving their religious belief by straping bombs to their bodies and walking in cafes', resturants and so on and blowing themselves up and those around who happen to be doing the horrible thing called daily life. Civilian men, women and children to prove that their Religion is better than those they blew up along with them. It is the nations resonsibility to protect its people. I guess my question is this, how many suicide bomber should be allowed to do these horrible acts to innocents before a nation is allowed to strike back?

    I agree that a country should act to protect it's citizens. Yet if the actions of that country mirror that of the terrorist it is just as wrong. Innocent people who are being killed in this conflict are not just Jews, they are also Christians, Agnostics, and Muslims. These are the ones I mourn. I feel that the taking of innocent lives is never justified especially when those innocent lives outnumber those of the combantants. The point I am trying to make is that it is insane. Both sides in my opinion are using tactics and weapons that will only deepen the conflict, breed hate, and teach violence.

    I also very much respect your disgust,Reilly3079, with the terrorist. They are a major part of the problem. The Israeli Govt. Has made great concessions by turning over the Gaza strip, and the Palestinians turn around and democratically elect a terrorist orginization to head the Govt. THAT IS INSANE in my opinion. The Israeli govt. bulldozes innocent families home in retaliation to terrorist, ignores more U.N. resoloutions than other countries....INSANE... the whole thing is INSANE.

    i just read about this today, i avoid the news most of the time as it is all the same violence every night and is so discouraging. anyway they showed a photo of a mother and her two children laying dead. so incredibly sad. loss of innocent lives is right jump :(
