In Loving Memory....

of my son Popup LinkMelvin Shedd III Born & Died on June 8, 2006. It is true... I feel that it is the worst pain & suffering anyone can ever go through... the loss of your child.

The tree in my thumbnail was planted in his memory.

I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for keeping me busy this last month. I know you didn't know that's what you were doing but it was. I have enjoyed being here with all of you and I have enjoyed looking at all of your wonderful pictures. This site has been my escape from everything around me and kept my mind busy.

Thank you.

Also I want to thank you for all your kind comments & suggestions on all of my pictures and I hope to learn so much more from ya'll the longer I am here. I look forward to the future.

    My sister lost a little girl 15 years ago. She also died on the day she was born. We talk about Lauren several times a year and I still think about her every time I pass the cemetery where she is buried. My heart goes out to you and I can imagine that this latest challenge has been hard for you.

    Thanks everyone I have struggled with if I wanted to share this with you since the challenge was posted and everytime I thought about it my answer was Yes so I did and I appreciate everyone's thoughts & prayers I know I have only been here a month but it feels like so much longer, and lately I have spent more time here with you than anywhere else and it's just where I want to be So thanks.

    Melvin Shedd III lived a lifetime in one short day. It doesn't seem long enough to make any difference, yet in here he has touched us all. And through your lens you will notice a deeper, more profound beauty than you ever knew existed. He has touched you deeply. Cherish that.

    So sorry for your loss. Thank you for feeling close enough to us to share your story. May the Lord comfort you and your family. It's so hard to lose a loved one, but photography also helped me during a time of loss. It helps you see the beauty in your surroundings when you would never have noticed it before.     Our prayers are with you. My cousin also had a boy, Michael pass back to the spirit world the day he was born. I will never forget that day. We are all spirits living in the human form soon to return home. There is a purpose for all God's creations.

    I just saw this post. You truly have my condolences! My best friend and his wife went through this. We like to think of it as a straight ticket to heaven without all the junk we have to go through first. God bless and keep you and yours!
