Weekend shots

Not much of a story, just some shots taken at a local arboretum.

The first: Popup Link a hibiscus bud. (Not from my planting.)

The second: Popup Link a daylily, background is some lavender.

The third: Popup Link a butterfly on a zinnia.

And a question to ponder. Why are we, collectively, as photographers, interested in the icky? As in: Popup Link spiders and bees? You really don't need to answer, just something to ponder.

Just for the record....your bee is a fly disquised as a bee !! How do I know....because it has a white face...if it has a black face... leave it alone....it's the REAL thing. Nice shots.

ahhhhh that's the ugliest spider i've seen in a while... love the stuff you did with that last shot but a butterfly is my fave... so vibrant. first goth bees now flies incognito as bees?? what is the insect world coming to?

Great shots, love the colors in daylily, love the butterfly shot. Also neat presentation on the bee/fly :o)
