LIGHTNING STRIKE was taken in my backyard during a lightning storm. I've been trying to catch a bolt of lightning for a while. And I'm pretty happy I finally have one

Nice shot! I also tried to catch one and failed miserably. hehe ! Is it dangerous to go outside on thunderstorms with a digital camera? :)

Congratulations! I tried for a long time before I finally caught a lightning strike and I remember how good it feels. (And how lucky I was) Not only was this a great capture, but the rest of the picture helps it to really stand out. Nice job!

Wow! you did great....the bolt looks like it has hit the structure especially the very end where you can see trail of light with appears to be from the bolt.

Thanks for all the great comments! Some of you were asking about the camera settings... very easy... AUTO and a lot of luck. When I went outside, there was no time to play with the settings. So I kept my camera on AUTO and snapped away. I figured Photoshop would help make the photo turn out a bit better if I got the shot. Thanks again for the comments.
