More race photos.  I tried using auto settings, some sports settings, and not using my flash.  I am teaching myself the manual settings but am not sure what to use for action shots outside.  The day started very overcast but was bright by the end.  Add in shadows from the rowhouse stores around the square and there were even more shadows.  Suggestions are appreciated.  So are comments.

One suggestion... If you open the aperature and use a telephoto lens, you'll isolate your subject, making them your focus.[blurring the background]

  • unfortunately I haven't been able to afford a telephoto lens yet. but thank you for the suggestion! I'll definately keep that in mind.

Liked them all, especially Dunkin Doughnuts stalks, the way everyone is focusing on the donuts.

Good post, Dena. My only suggestion is to get "one of the support team" off the bike and into the race. Whoo! He's a little, little...well, you know. He ain't no Flat Stanley. ;-)

  • Love the Dunkin Donuts shot! That is too funny the guy with his daughter looks a bit shocked or disgusted? maybe he just wanted one too.

  • Donut shot is funny. I have a terrible time shooting and isolating a subject in a place like this. Just so much in the background.
