  • First shot is really striking in color but the second is best in B&W. Then 3 and 4 seem to go back to favoring the color although the composition isn't as strong. Aaarrgghhh....my head hurts.

Undecided, each has something appealing both in color & B&W. The first is my favorite for composition.

Nice composition especially in the first shot - like both color and BW. Good contrast.

The first shot in color or B&W is a splendid photo. The other three I like in color.

in the first shot I don't feel like the chair is the subject with so many things to look at ... color for me don't like the second chopped off 3's getting warm! B+W 4"s my pick B+W would like the foliage more focused you open up a can of worms when you ask for personal preference! Take this with a grain of salt and just what appeals to my eye Birdie

  • thanks. It's some lady's house. I can go back and get more shots. Beautiful place and she's really nice. It was the last shots I took that day, the sun came out from behind the clouds and I really like the warm afternoon light on the chair. And I'm sorry to hurt your head smalls. I took a lot of shots and narrowed it to 4, then I couldn't decide if I liked color or b&w. All the monotonous greens just appealed to me, and then small bit of pink in 1 & 4. And I liked the contrast and tones I got in B&W. Well, at least I know I should keep the first in color :-D

Really beautiful shots. I guess it's a matter of taste. My favorites are b&ws 2 and 4 and then the color 4. I can see myself in that chair with a tall glass of iced tea.

Surprising for me I like the color version of the first shot best of all.

  • I really like the first shot in color,I just don't see the chair but a lovely place to relax and look at the great scenery, though all are nice.

  • I'm with Ashton, I really appreciate how the colors bring out all the details that I did not see in the b&w.
