What do young people think? Is fashion a matter of life & death?    Should customs and traditions be forgotten as we evoluate, or should they be preserved as historical facts?  vakantza2007 vakantza_223

  • The black & white is a stunningly beautiful portrait. I am too old to count in your poll of young people, but sometimes I think the importance of small things (like traditional costume) dawn on us as we age. When I was young, I wanted only the most fashionable clothing, of course, now I am more for comfort. I hope the customs that make you uniquely Romanian will not ever be lost or become just museum pieces, because they hold us so tightly to those who have come before us and given us the world in which we live. In the United States, we have customs and clothing that are more indicative of the region in which we were born than the country as a whole--When I was young, I did not appreciate this as much, I now treasure all things that make me Southern.

  • I'm too old to comment...legend has it that I'm 400 years old...poor Phantom's Wife!! I like them both...but that black and white really does it for me...beautiful shot!!! I see that you no longer have your "hi5 Site"...however, I still go to your "My Band Site" to see if you have posted any new songs. By the way...you have a great voice! Your English is perfect, and I understand you also know French, Spanish, and Italian...you are quite an impressive young lady. I don't know how you do it, but keep it up!!!

Way too old to respond to your question, but I agree heartily with Phantom's Wife. As the song says, "You don't know what you've got till it's gone!" And I vote for the color shot with the apples.

  • Both are very nice shots. I'm old but I'll toss in my opinion on your question. When you toss out customs and traditions you are tossing out part of your past. From what I have seen at a young age people don't think this is important. As they age they start thinking about these things and wonder what happened to them.

  • Agree with Classy....customs/traditions as a young person seem to be too much trouble and wonder why in the world do the parent/grandparents do the things they do...but when older they are treasured memories and you try to bring some of them back into your own life. The lighting in the color version is great....both on the person/and the nature part of pic....Apples look delicous.

  • Beautiful shots, I especially like the one in colour. Great lighting. I'm glad to see you posting! Our history/heritage is important 'cause it says a lot about who we are as people and why think and act a certain way. It's important to keep traditions alive, celebrate our history and remember those who lived before us. Sometimes the past is too painful, but we can create new traditions for future generations. Just some thoughts :)
