I think I like the orchids in color. The filtered light is nice. But if those are the same spiky mums you had in b&w a couple days ago, I definitely love that dramatic lighting in the b&w better.

Filtered light is my pick. I even like the shadows going across the flower.

I tried putting a message in the general forum for everyone tonight, but I could not get it to work. Wim brought me a new toy tonight. I now own a Nikon Coolpix P5100. Has some neat new aspects to it. Can't wait to take it out and try it.

I like the filtered light image. Nice placement of the flower in the image and the shadows work well. I like the composition of the spiky mums shots, but the direct sunlight makes the lighting way too harsh. You will bring out a lot more detail in the flowers if you take these shots when the light is more diffused (ie. not directly overhead or shining directly on the flowers). Hope you are feeling better and congrats on the new 'toy'! Enjoy!

    - f8 and be there...

I like the Filtered Lavender and the dark background in Mums B

I like the three color shot, they are very nice. On the first shot it seems to busy, no clear focal point to draw my attention to. Blessings DSW
