We drove up to Pigeon Forge for the long weekend.  The boys love the aquarium so of course we had to visit!  I have new camera so I wasn't sure how things would turn out.  These were two of my favorites.  What  do you think?  It was harder than I thought to shoot through the aquarium glass.  Any suggestions?

You did a great job! I love the colors and lighting on these. :o)

JB where have you been? You did a great job shooting through the glass. I know it is hard. I did shots of an octopuss at Mystic Aquarium and it was tough. Love the clarity and color

Combo of things going on. I got a new job, going to grad school, boys in soccer, and just felt no one was interested in my photos. The new camera has gotten me to start going out again and shoot. Add to the mix that we are on Fall Break and I actually have few minutes to pick up my camera!

I think you did a great job. When I went to pigeon forge two years ago, we went to the aquarium and the jelly fish shots were my best of the bunch. They're so mesmorizing and you did a great job with them. Love the colors.

These are nice. I've tried too, and jellyfish behind glass moving fast or erratic are very difficult. Good job.

Get naked and jump in! Only way to get a better shot! Welcome back!

Great shots! I've yet to successfully do a decent through-the-glass one, except for the tadpoles we raised here at home. That doesn't count though, because I had all day to try to get it right. :) I'm with Wildman - only way to do any better would be get naked and jump in. I must add though that you'd do well to have a waterproof case for the camera.

Wonderful shots. Whatever you did, you did it right.

Thanks everyone! I found one trick was to make sure not to aim directly at the jellyfish. If I aimed at an angle, even a slight one, I didn't get the flash off the glass.

That's a huge tip! Wonderful images and great advice!

    - come over for lunch
