Unpredictable Weather

I don't manage to get North to the Lake District in the UK often, but when I do I always make sure I have my camera with me. The weather always seems to be so unpredictable, but can really add to the atmosphere - don't you think?
Lakes
Lakes 1
Lakes 2
Lakes 3
Lakes 4
Lakes 5
Lakes 6

  • 2-6 are phenomenal! The weather really added to the shots. Great job on them. 'Lakes 1' bothers me, I'm not sure what it is about it. I think there's something odd about the exposure... But other than that one, I love 'em!

I like the first shot and #2 and #5, because they have more interest than the others. Your colors come up a bit oversaturated, to me.

I let out an audible GASP over several of the photos in this set. Incredible shots.

I did not care for the fist shot to me it looked grainy. But then the others....WOW they are spectacular! The weather definately added to the shots. Very beautiful

Amazing! I don't mind the ones that look a bit over-saturated, personally. It adds a bit of surrealism, I think. I love that thumbnail. I would have liked to see that one full size.

WOW wonderful shots. I was in the lake district back a thousand years ago, there is a beauty there that is hard to describe, but you did a great job showing it. If I had only know then what I know now about photography I would have had some wonderful shots to go with my memories of that summer. Thanks for taking me back! Like the thumb too

  • I really like lakes2 and lakes4. You look at these images and you just get lost in what the history must be. I'm sure I that could build with stone just as beautifully.... oh wait... No Chance.

These are just stunning. All of them. It's been 20+ years since I was last in that part of England, but I remember it as a really beautiful place. Your photos really do it justice.
