Alright, I haven't posted, again, in a while; for trying to learn how to take portraits. So, I'd appreciate the help and any pointers.

  • I like rocks/portrait best...the light on the face looks better to me....in double take I think the mirror is too small.....

  • I like the first one and "rocks". I was really looking over the double take...I'm not real sure how you did that one (with the person in the mirror not being the one sitting in front of the mirror...:-) The more I look at it, the more I like it. Not really sure what could be differently...maybe crop a bit off on the left hand side. And...can't quite put my finger on it but "something" with the lighting or color.

  • When I think portait, I think of something to be framed on the mantel or desk. That means even lighting on the subject (face). To that end, Rocks is the best for me even if the hair covers part of the face. Maybe crop it ever so slightly closer to bring you in a bit. I liked sunshine and colorful from an art point of view but not when thinking "portrait". Too destracting and you have to "look too hard" to see what you really what to see (the face). Really liked double take. Would like to see the mirror part bigger and maybe cut out the mirror frame at least to test and see what effect it has. Otherwise great effect and lots of potential on that one.
