So sorry to hear of your loss. Dogs become such a huge part of our lives, they're so much more than "just a pet". Brodey looks like a great friend to have. You're in my thoughts.

The expression on your sons face brings a tear to my eye. He was a beautiful friend that you will always remember.

Thank you to everyone. The illness was recent and he went downhill quickly. Brodey was a part of our family and will be missed deeply.

I unfortunately deal with this on a daily basis, and it's never easy.(I work at an animal hospital) Feel at peace knowing that you were able to do this for him, and stop his suffering in a humane way. We lose our animals too soon, but they live on in our hearts. Some people won't keep pets for the fear of losing them, but better to have loved and lost... as they say.
