Cemetery in Snow

Yesterday's mornings snowfall here in Illinois came down fast and wet, plastering itself to everything facing the wind.  The snow gave an eerie appearance to this rural cemetery about fifty miles outside of Chicago.

These almost look like pencil etchings. Nice job, especially on #1.

These are great! The sticking snow really added another dimension to them... the contrast is wonderful, as I looked again, I wasn't sure though if they really are done in BW... or if it just a colorless day???

Fantastic captures of the wet snowfall we had.

  • enigmaticfaerie
Beautiful contrasts in all, but there's something about the compositions of the first two that make them stand out to me.

Plaster is right and b&w works with the theme and eerieness and purity of snow. # 3&4 appealed the most to me.

  • calepo
I really like the contrast of the white snow against the wet stones. How lucky you were to come across this scene and how talented you were to capture it so well! Very, very cool!

    - Enjoy the journey....
