If you're traveling west on I-10 and take a left in Kerville, Texas, you'll find yourself in. . . England?

Or, what does a retired contractor do with his spare time and some extra building materials?

Or, What we saw on the way to Grandma's house?

Stonehenge II -- Kerville, Texas

  • I actually think you've captured the spirit of stonehenge. Good use of black and white on a monotonal subject. Your different views and last shot give a feel for the celestial calendar that was so important to the peoples of stonehenge.

    - go take some pictures you

Well, we got the London Bridge in Lake Havasu on Colorado River, so why not Stonehenge in Texas! Been missing your posts, Wilk, pleasure to have you surface again.

  • I thought it was in Hunt, TX. I've been to it. I noticed you tried to take shots that were reminiscient of the real Stonehenge. I'm glad you took it in B&W, I don't think the color would do it justice. Those are good shots, it made me feel like it was the real thing.

Thanks everyone. Stonehenge II is nearer Hunt, but Kerville is the nearest "big" city so I used it as a convenience. Smally -- my sister-in-law proposed a family tour of international Texas -- when we get to Paris we'll call for a guided tour. Ashton, where are you now -- we can all stow our gear in the back of the van and ride together.
