Challenge: Inner Peace

I'm warning now, these are snapshots.  It's the end of the semester and Kate and I decided to have a little fun.  We put a roast on and I proceeded to bake two kinds of cookies (under the influence of  a little bit of cherry wine).  

It didn't hit me to take a few pictures of our procedure until I had finished making the cookies.

But that's ok, I got shots of the results.  Oatmeal craisen chocolate chip cookies and Kahlua coconut chocolate chip cookies.

Upon review, I didn't think they were half bad and I realized that this night of baking was a bit of inner peace for me.  The semester's basically over, aside from finals.  I love to bake, it makes me happy. And giving my product away to people and them loving it makes it even better.  

And yes, they taste just as good as they look.  In fact, I'm gonna go have one right now.  Have a great day everyone!

    mmmmmmmmmm.. you are a tease.. i want one!~they look delicious...I love Kahulua, where did you find that cookie recipe? I have already made over 300 cookies and given them out ... I think it is a wonderful gift to give.... Great shots, Msfaerie

    In the book that I'm 'reading' to cookie monster. I got it as a christmas present from Gwen a couple of years ago. "The Search for the Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookie." It has easily over 100 chocolate chip cookie recipes. I can type it out for you if you'd like. I don't mind sharing :-D

    Yummy, now I am craving cookies! Fun post. Glad you are relaxing before the next big push. I love to cook for the holidays to share, but seems like I don't have enough time. Have fun! :o)

    I would if I could! I made way too many. We got a little ambitious when the idea of making cookies first came to mind and then when we couldn't decide between the two recipes we just made both. And you're probably right, it may not be that far off.

    Yum! Those sound great. Kahlua cookies. My mom makes a cake Kahlua cake that you need to be IDed before you can eat it....Looks like you had fun!!

    I made a Rum cake like that once in Tallahassee... it's good in moderation, but these just have the taste and they're super delicious. If you guys like Kahlua, you should try kahlua milkshakes. Just add chocolate ice cream and kahlua (a little milk if you don't want it too strong) and blend. Scrumptious.

    Mmmmmmmmmmm..........these look scrumptous.............I made cookies today, too, but I cheated; they're not homemade. I *did* make my crock pot chocolate candy the other day and gave all of it away...........gonna make some more next week to give away. I love doing that, too.

    Yep, I just fed most of the photography building today when I went for my portfolio review. Everyone loved them. Now I only have 1 left for myself :-(

    Oh darn, these really made me hungry for something GOOD. The only problem with the holidays is that everywhere you turn there is something delicious to be eaten--and you certainly can't be hurting people's feelings by not tasting their wares. I think your photo of the finished product added weight to my hips.
