Memphis Zoo Entrance and Aquarium.

The Memphis zoo also has a small aquarium. I had a heck of a time shooting in there, high iso, trying to get the best angle to hide scratches and reflections, while framing,focusing and shooting a fish swimming by. Marginal success but still a sampling of the zoo's aquarium.

Main entrance. Has an Egyptian theme.
Obelisk. Just inside the main entrance.
Cat House Cafe. Used to be the house for the big cats before they moved them to natural habitat enclosures.
Whiskers.
Come and get me.
Lionfish. Didn't like this shot but it is Barb's favorite fish so you suffer so I don't have to.
Piranha.
Varicose forehead.

Comments and criticisms welcome as always. Probably post some more animal shots tomorrow. That's your last warning.

the entrance reminds me of the Empress Casino here in Joliet. All are excellent shots and I am with Barb, love those lionfish!!

Memphis's sister city is Memphis Egypt. Hence the zoo theme and the Prymaid as you enter see as you enter the city.

Awesome shots. I'm quite jealous of your fish shots. I tried in the Ripley Aquirium in Gatlinburg last fall and the lighting wasn't that great. I got some ok ones but nothing like yours. I love the lionfish.

Thank you for letting us know where these shots were taken. So many times I wish I knew where the photos were from, but it is not noted in the text. So I go to the profile area and if location is noted there, that is where I assume the scene is from that I am looking at.
