Question

I've been ill and so I haven't found solace in my camera lately. Tonight however I was at a basketball game at school taking pictures of the game when one of the football players wandered by wearing a school logo'd bandana.

I really like the photo, except I wish I had tried it with a lower ISO, I just switched to him in the middle of taking pictures at the game.

Color
B&W (yes, photoshopped).

My question is does it look better in color or black and white. And what specifics do you look in a black and white photo for it to be 'good'.

Photo in question: I prefer it in color. But, I allmost alway prefer color. In this case, maybe the model in color and the background in B/W, it would help him stand out a little better.

Color for me, but I'd like to see the spot coloring that Mr. Quackers suggested. Let's see some game shots...please.

I like the B&W better. You can see his face better in it then the colored one.

Do you mind if I play with the black and white one a little?

This was just a little additional in PS. I ran levels on it and brought the blacks up so there were a few true blacks in it, lightened the mid tones a bit to brighten his face just a bit, sharpened it a little and then masked him and layed a big blur on the background. I think you really got a good shot of him. Photo of boy reworked just a little. I've been a in real B&W mode for some reason here lately.
