Spring on the Snake River

Here in Twin Falls, Idaho, I am lucky enough to live close to the Snake River Canyon. When spring comes, the canyon turns green, and the water blue. The canyon walls don't hold there color for long. Summer's coming and soon the whole thing will turn to various shades of brown.

Personally, I know it's spring when it time for some spring cleaning, just a little trim to get ready for summer growth.

  • Beautiful shots, I love 'spring cleaning.' It reminds me of a well-trimmed hay-field more than a broom. Or maybe looking at a square hay-bail.

  • Canyon turns green is my favorite, the color seems richer and more saturated.... is this the canyon that Evil Kneivel tried to jump once? Or what am I thinking of....

  • It is Evil Knieval's Canyon. If you look at the top of "Snake River Canyon", about a third of the way from the right, you can see his takeoff ramp.

  • Thanks for the comments, and the votes. I should tell you all, "Spring Cleaning" is not a broom. It is, in fact, cut grass (pampas, maybe, ornamental definitely). I'm so glad that it was not immediately recognizable.
