Guys, I'm real new to this digital editing stuff. So I have been doing some editing. This first set was taken with a cell phone...which I've posted before. Here I will only post the edited photos...I think the b&w effect really helped these shots.

    Good job! The west Texas edits are my favorites, however I think the horizon is still off just a little (needs to go maybe one degree counter-clockwise). All are still a little soft (which is almost impossible to edit out, especially without Photoshop, although you did a pretty good job on the west texas edits) and the horizons aren't quite straight, but overall a very good first attempt.

    Im sorry... but... turning a blind eye to crap sucks...and this is junk... dumbing down johnny just to be politicly correct sucks also... if Im incorrect then so be it.. but this is junk... period.. why lie... does it make you feel good... you are being made a fool of by this jerk.... so ..... damn... there is so much really great stuff on this site to be sucked into this persons bull shit...... so fatcatXCON.... if you cant handle the comment dont ask for them.... and I might ad... try bowling you may be better at that...

    As much as I love Surfer, I really want to believe you're trying to be a better photographer, as we all are. And you really need to improve from the start. Photo editing can only go so far. If you start with a really bad image, all you get is an edited bad image. Work on focus and framing when you shoot. And in post, try bumping up the contrast in some of your images. And if you're having problems, ask anyone here in a PM for help. These are mostly helpful folks. By the way, only in Texas would we call that a river!!!

    purhaps "playing" further with filters will help you achieve a better photo from one that you are not satisfied with. Learn to let go of the normal thought of what it should look like and change the whole look with the FILTERS in the editing software.the results are amazing and very different

    I think that it's obvious that you are interested in improving your photo skills and you are trying very hard and I applaud you for that...but the single most important thing that you need to work on is FOCUS. None of the shots that you have ever posted here have been in focus. And no amount of editing after the fact will fix that. All of the digital cameras that I have ever used will beep at you or a light will come on or something to indicate that the camera is focused - you usually press the shutter button down halfway to let the camera lens focus and then it beeps - then you press the shutter button down the rest of the way to actually take the picture. This is probably the single most important skill that you need to master. Keep trying....

    I agree with the others. I will add. If you don't get good comments on a shot don't repost it. Chances are you will still not get a good comment. Take new shots that is the way to get better. I hope you will try a new approach. People here can help a lot. But you need to take thier advice.

    If you are using a camera phone for picure taking you need to figure out what kind of range it has in order to be in focus and stick in the range. Once you can get a focused image share it. The only editing for your post is DELETE. Why would anyone feel the need to vote for these. That means you think it belongs on the front page!!!!!
