One of my all-time places to visit is Whitesands, New Mexico.  A few minutes of walking eliminates the noise of cars and people; a few more minutes of walking allows the pretense of solitude.  I can literally spend hours out here with nothing but my thoughts, a camera and water. . .

    Very nice! I liked the lack of perspective on 6s. It is hard to tell if they are small tracks or very large tracks in the sand. I also liked the simplicity in 1s. It would be my favorite even though they are all excellent.

    All are freaking excellent! How do you manage to time it to always have great clouds? Whenever I go somewhere it's like the first rain they've had in two months or there's not a cloud in the sky.

    Don -- that's my photoshop cloud plugin at work. . . Okay, maybe not. Just luck? I was really frustrated with the Arches photos I took on the first day because it was overcast and the sky kept turning white; when I'm ready to post those you'll recognize the featureless sky.
