I am so glad that we zoomed down to the beach for this sunset even though it was so freezing cold and windy that my lens kept getting fogged up.  But these pics made it all worth while.

September sun going down.  My husband needed a closer view I guess, for he was all of a sudden there in my pic frame. watching it go
Oregon ocean sunset
ocean glory
The question I have to ask everytime.
why does it have to end?

This is the only way I get my husband to pose for pictures.  Fully covered in his 4-wheel'n outfit.  So here he is
Myhunk aburnin love. Eat your heart out ladies.

I know I am double posting but I got so inspired to write this that I had to get it down and I don't know how to save it to post later.  So please forgive.

Remember, only one post per 24 hours... Read the Question and answer section.

If you *know* you're double posting........*why do it?* The double posting takes away anything the pics have to offer for me. Sorry.

and there is no way... at this time to save a story without posting.. but its coming... love your excitement but... follow the rules...

I'm sorry but I am with the others. There are several people here who would like to post more then one time in 24 hours. They don't they wait. New members make the mistake and double post. But they learn the rule. You are not new and know this was not supposed to happen. You pushed someone else off the page. You could have combined both of your posts or waited with this one. What would happen if everyone decided it was okay to do this? All you did here is make it so no one will want to comment on your post.

Next time more than one story inspires you at the same time, jot down on paper what you want to say . . . . post it when the time has passed. . . .and don't let this squelch your enthusiasm.

  • Penny
    I agree completely with cratchet.

That is just what I have been concerned about. You may not see this talanted person back here again and I wouldn't blame her a bit. I know some of you have been here a long time and some may even be involved with the running of the site. That doesn't give any one of you the right to be mean! I haven't posted anything here in a while even though I have wanted to because I have had an operation. So just figure that these folks are using the space that I would have taken anyway. I cant' imagine any of those that have double posted being deliberatly mean, but it sure comes across mean in how the commenters are commenting. SG and Cratchet are exceptions to my tirade. And if anybody else wants to take a hatchet to beadifu jo, try saying something nice and PLEASE temper your criticism instead.

    - So shoot already!!

  • The Old Guy
Add msjudi and Kara to the exceptions. Y'all posted before I got mine up. and yes, your photos are well worth seeing. Thank you for posting them beadiful jo.

Beautiful Jo I am sorry if I hurt your feelings. We have rules and the reason we have rules is to keep some kind of order here. I was not trying to be mean. I was however being honest. I didn't mean no one should comment on your post. I have seen this happen over and over...that is just the way it works. If someone double posts people don't give many comments. I try to comment on as many posts as possible and I am honest with my comments but a lot can be lost in type as far as if someone is being "mean" or not.

Beautiful sunset, you can see the clouds on the horizon. Your husband looks great in his gear! :o)

The sunset was beautiful and inspiring, but you could have waited until the next day to post it.

    - Flowers are happiness...

These photos inspire me as I live on the beach. My fav is why does it have to end for the contrast and the joy, which you captured perfectly. I feel like that every day, I mean when I have to leave. Beautiful pictures. Now say 4 hail photographicas and post again tomorrow.

  • Tarsier
I really like the idea of watching it go, but it looks to me like he is looking down the beach, not at the sunset. I like ocean sunset and ocean glory, but I wonder if you could use PS or other software to get a little more detail out of the waves. I haven't tried this, but I think it would work: start a new story and type up the story just how you want it, then cut and paste it into Word or another text editor, wait a day and cut and paste it back into Photographica. Still preview, but I think it will still look right. That way you can write the story and even add pictures while you feel inspired, but then save it for later with just a few extra steps. Apparently the members of Photographica do *not* ascribe to the philosophy of Eragon - "better to ask forgiveness than permission." Now you know. No harm done, in my opinion.

I think we have all broken the "24 hour rule" I know I was 30 minutes early once... and Penny was a whole hour once! :) but who is keeping track? And Tarsier no harm done except to the one who was harmed.

    - go take some pictures you
