I like the textures and contrast in the first. I suggest you try experimenting a bit with the subject, tryin g different angles and different light at times of the day. It could make and interesting study.
wonderful b&ws as always charlie, but I'm really partial the first. The of dark and light begin slightly off center makes for a great asymmetrical balance.
Thank you :) bgallagher: I agree it's not the best angle and I could've tried different ones. The shot was taken on an overcast day last summer. I hope I've improved a little since then. The broken window in my previous post belongs to the same outhouse, which is part of an old school building that's now being used as a hunting lodge. Jo: I'd post the flower shot in colour for you, but it was shot in b&w.
The texture and light in outhouse work for me and ladder leaves me wondering...what were they climbing to see or is it a tree house? BTW, I like leftovers, keep them coming.
