I wrote a very beautiful and heartfelt comment, but it didn't post....so... Nice pic. Beautiful moon. Too much blank space between fair and moon. I could never take a picture 1/2 as great!!! Very, very, very, very nice.

Great Double Exposure Shot!! ... I agree with Chef ... I would like to see a little more foreground ... Thank you for giving your camera settings, it's always a big help in the learning process to have some idea on how great shots were done ...

Am not sure how you achieved the dblexp but it is really good..the night light of the area with the glow in the sky and the moon as added bonus--overall effect--Beautiful.

Great work. What was your camera setting to caputre moon? For full moon and cloudless night, I have used as slow as 1/8 to 1/10 speed with very high F stop. Did you use Photoshop or similar software to combine two pictures?

To answer the questions. was done using a tripod and a remote with the similiar settings for both, but during the dbl exposure switched out from a 70mm to a 300 mm and shot just the moon. I was lucky it turned out the way it did. NO Psing. I have tried the dbl exp many times without the same success, but learned from past mistakes. Exposure time for the 1st shot was appox 8 seconds 2nd shot was 1/125th sec.

Very tricky and well executed with the lens swaps. Beautiful and surreal image.
