My wife had her holiday party in downtown minneapolis last friday and I meandered across the street for awhile and took some shots of the church over there.  I am still working at getting as smart as my camera, so I don't know how satisfied I am with the exposure in 1-3. I would like to know which version of church1 you like better (I put a less exposed version for the thumbnail). I was very satisfied with how 4-8 turned out.  My favorite is number 7 because i almost missed that it was there...it is under the rest of the figures and you can just see it in number 4.  Well thank you for looking and let me know what you think.

#6 is the stand out for me. #1 is way to over exposed.

Number 1 is your best composition of the church, you said you reworked it... I agree with MrQ... is is way over exposed, and your thumb is dark... can you rework it and get somewhere between the two? As is, it is out of focus, but it might be worth a shot to try it again, then sharpen it, and see what happens. I liked your angle in shot 2, but you have lost a lot of detail to the shadows in the bottom half of the shot... can you lighten there a bit and see what happens (but don't blow out the top half!) The best way to learn the new camera is just take a LOT of shots, in a LOT of different settings or modes... then see what works in a given situation.
