Could This Photo Win a Blue Ribbon ….

My monthly Camera Club Photo Competition is coming up in a week ... I’m going to enter the attached photo in the “Commercial” Category ... "Commercial" Category is defined as: “A photograph whose purpose is to sell a product or concept.”

What do you think … Good or Bad!! … Could this photo sell RONDIAZ Pineapple Rum?? … RONDIAZ RUM ... You may not be able to see it … But there is a recipe for a Pineapple Rum Cooler on the right side of the photo ... This shot was composed and shot on my dinning room table ...

    Wow, the colors jump out at you, they almost glow. I like the shot. It wouldn't make me buy the rum (don't like rum) but it certainly catches my eye and makes me look to see what's there.

    Yea ... The recipe is not easy to read ... However, the actual photograph is almost 11 x 14 and it is very easy to read on that ... Stan

    I like it - the composition and vivid colors are very appealing. It WOULD catch my eye and at least TEMPT me to buy the rum. Very professional looking picture for a kitchen-table job :-)

    Looks real good. Did you try it with a background that wasn't as dark?

    You know I didn't try a different color background ... Black seems to be my 'color' of choice as it hides a lot of sins (the pineapple was not in the best of shape) and I felt that black went well with the colors on the bottle and there are glare issues with lighter colors ... I have since added in the upper left hand corner "RONDIAZ ... A Rum for any Occasion! .. and .. "Available in fine liquor stores everywhere!” .. In the bottom right hand corner

    Wonderful post..Beautiful vibrant colors and well composed. I have a huge screen so i can read recipe... I will have a run and diet coke..please... but only one... ;) after one i get too warm..... I'm sold! great job, Stan...

    Very professional job. Beautiful color. It could win. It looks like ever-so-many ads I skip over in a lot of high-class mags. Of course it could lose to an ad with a sexy brunette stepping out of an Aston-Martin into a waiting helicopter. 8^) Good luck!

    Absolutely! This is beautiful. I don't generally drink but 3 or 4 drinks in a year, but I wanted to make a special trip to the store just to try this recipe. It sounds and looks like what I want to be drinking in my next fantasy. Wonderful job; nice dining room table too!
