You did good (have yet to accomplish this feat myself)--Of these, I think the best effect is on the last two--Mojave Shed and Red Rock Canyon...to me the Mojave Barn is just a tad too much.

Stan, I like Zion aspen and Mojave shed. Mojave barn I agree is a bit too much and I (in my opinion) thought red rock canyon was a bit too much too. Its the sky in that one that I have trouble with. Just to let you know though I am going with what is pleasing to my eyes and not what I know. I just took photos of a old barn that I may have to try this orton effect on. ;)

I love all these shots! Great composition and focus, the orton makes them outstanding! ;o)

I love the "Aspens"! They are stately and fragile all at the same time!

I don't know what orton effect is, but I like the first and the last shot very much,

Wow, didn't take you long to master the "O" effect. I especially like the aspens....I also like what you did with the ink lines..is that a PS effect? Seems like I saw it somewhere....keep em coming!

Aspens for me too - just based on the wonderful visual appeal - not on any in-depth knowledge of "O".

    - the EYES have it

    Great job with the Orton!

Thank you all for your comments!! ... This is actually not a hard technique to do ... its just hard to get it right!! ... I tend to overdo most things so that's why the barn and red rock are a little over done (if a little is good a lot must be better - doesn't necessary work with this technique) Chrissy, If I can give you any pointers just let me know ... it's a lot of fun to play around with ... It also works great on portraits!! Yes kitzi the "ink lines effect" is part of PS ... I use the pretend version of Photoshop - PS Elements 6.0 - and found it under "Effects" ... there are actually a whole bunch of different effects ... I'm sure the real version of PS would be the same.

    - Out of Focus!!

Very nice effects - I'm going to have to try this out. I like the 'Zion Aspens' best.
